The best part about writing a children's book is the quickness. Recently, my business partner\friend and I finished our second children's picture book, An Eartha & Audi Story. Insert applause and tiny dancing dinosaurs here From start to finish, the book took roughly 3 months.  It is really cool to have an idea, mold like clay, have Duncan do the color bits (HI, DUNCAN!), slap it into a PDF, and be done with it. It's tempting to stick with these children's books, because, they don't take me a year or 10 years to write. After three weeks of tissues, hot tea, and cough medicine, I am finally able to sit upright and breathe through both nostrils. It's the little things, folks. I knew I was definitely on the mend when yesterday I started pulling out half-finished novels and mapping them in Scrivener. Novels I haven't talked about my novel writing in a while.  It isn't because I've forgotten it or put it down forever.  The reason is better:  I started writing children's books. Children's Books Last year, I offhandedly mentioned wanting to write some children's books. One of my yoga friends who is an illustrator mentioned that she wanted to draw some children's books.
