Hello friends,
This is the first cup of coffee I’ve taken in my shed since summer kicked me out of it.
Next year, I plan to add a solar fan and tiny AC unit, so I don’t have to go without my space for so long.
Having a space of your own is so important. Creating a space for yourself that is all about what you want, love, and need is paramount to creativity and self-discovery.
If you don’t have a space of your own already, you can easily create one without spending a lot of money. Pick a corner of your home to make sacred for yourself.
If you don’t have a corner to spare, you can just pack it out! I have a backpack that I call “the office”. I take it with me everywhere to make any space I’m writing in more me. It has my pen case with my two favorite fountain pens inside, my bullet journal, a small sample of my favorite fragrance, and some spare mala beads. I can sit these few items on any desk and feel like it was meant for me.
I hope you have a glorious week ahead, and I can’t wait to chat with you again soon.
Take care of you,
B.A. Burgess
Of Listening & Laughing
See Below, an L&L&E Mandatory Podcast: My friend, Tony, has made another podcast! He’s an unstoppable monster. I swear. I find this podcast especially hilarious, because I’ve spent some time in corporate America. This podcast is every meeting you’ve ever sat in and thought, “Am I being punked? Have I been trapped in some weird reality show?”
Of Productivity
My Bullet Journal: I am in a really good place with my bullet journal, and I’m going to share as much of that as I can with you all in a new course I’ve got cooking. It is simple and short. Good for new bullet journal-ers or folks who’ve always wanted to try a bullet journal, but it just seemed like too much. More to come!
Of Gifts
Tiny Skeletons with Big Skulls Air Fresheners: My mom has done it again! She’s sent me more skeletons. I may not have told you this about my mother, but she and I have a mailbox gift exchange thing going on. I send her Christmas related gifts all year long, and she sends me skulls and skeletons, because it just makes sense to us. These little cuties are air fresheners for your car! They clip to the vents, and they fill your car with beautiful essential oils. Nicely done, mom. Nicely done.
