This book is why I have only watched three episodes of The Bear.
Everyone at work has been hounding me about watching The Bear. When I tell them I’ve watched three episodes, they ask me how that’s possible?! How could anyone possibly turn off such a great show at the end of only three episodes?
This book. This book is why.
Matthew had recommended it to me for a while, but I was never in the right place to start a new book. One evening, he played a chapter on Audible, and that was it. I was in.
The story follows Nate as he moves into a building in Los Angeles. He meets a cast of characters in this strange, suspiciously low-cost apartment building, and together, they set out to solve some of the building’s mysteries including the mystery of why apartment 14 is locked…from the outside.
I burned through this book. It was such a fun, easy read. The characters were interesting, and I never knew what was going to happen next.
I’d recommend this book to people who like to read books by Drew Hayes or John Scalzi.
It’s book one of a series of four, so pack some snacks.
