My Bullet Journal Icons
In my last post on bullet journaling, I showed you the simple bullet journal setup that keeps me organized.
Now, let me share and explain my Icon Key which makes looking at pages full of notes easy to understand at a glance.
The Standard Icons
While everyone has different icons for this bullet journals, there are a few standards that harken back to the early days of bullet journaling.
● - Tasks or To-Dos
○ - Appointments or Events
— -Notes or Thoughts
➤ - Migrate to tomorrow’s list
While you can manage your entire bullet journal with these icons alone, you may find that you need a few more icons. I’ve added the following:
When you label each line or block of text with a quick-to-create and recognizable icon, you can skim through your notebook and find previously written items quickly.
I recently added the Gratitude and Goal icons to my bullet journaling system. I did this to make sure I’m working toward a lofty goal while also being grateful for what I’ve already accomplished and everything I already have.
Again, adding extra icons is not a have-to, but personalized icons may become more valuable to you the more your work with your notebook.
