Hello friends,
My trip is complete!
Annette and I had a glorious trip around Pennsylvania. Almost every location had a ghost story associated with it. Lots of inspiration for writing projects.
We went to various bookstore, but of all the bookstores we visited, Pocket Books was my favorite. This is a feminist bookstore with the most fantastic collection of books I’ve ever seen. I wanted every single book in there, but I exercised self-control and purchased one book, two stickers, and grabbed a free poster on my way out. 😁
Total of books purchased on trip - 7…Maybe I didn’t exercise that much self-control.
I’ll share more details about the books, food, and coffee in the coming week.
What I’ve Been Reading
📖 I Feel Bad About My Neck by Nora Ephron - Have you ever found the perfect book at the perfect time? This was that book for me.
I was in Paperback Exchange browsing their huge selection of books (which were mostly romance). I saw this book out of the corner of my eye, and I was immediately drawn to the bright yellow cover. Then, I saw the title - I Feel Bad About My Neck.
My immediate reaction was okay, great another book about how being aging woman sucks, blah, blah, blah. But knowing that my judgements aren’t always right, I read the first page. Then, the second, third… I read the first essay and did everything I could to contain my laughter.
This woman is in my head. I recommend this book to anyone, but especially to women in their 40s and women going through some changes in their life.
🎓 Monthly Writing Membership is Coming - I’m building something fun for us that’s coming to 2023. Don’t worry; you’re in the right place to learn all about it. I’ll be sending all the information to you very soon. I think you’re going to love it!
