No. 28
Hello friends,
After a week of being plagued with strep throat and a weekend in Alabama to watch a football game, I’m finally back home and back to my healthy self.
Here’s a blog quick update for you -
Starting Tuesday of next week, I’ll be releasing one Chapter a week of How to Write a Children’s Book: a 7-day workshop in a book on this blog. You’ll be able to find these posts and other writing-related posts under the On Writing tab on the homepage.
Now, here’s a list of somewhat exciting things:
📝A List of Interesting Things
🔗A Note About Links - I’m no longer an Amazon affiliate, so when you see links to Amazon pages, please note I’ve added that link because I either a) used it myself and was pleased, or b) thought this was the easiest way you could get to whatever I was sharing. Any affiliate links will be labeled as such for transparency going forward.
💻The Elysian - I’ve recently been exploring future utopias. My curiosity for the concept is entirely related to Elle Griffin’s newsletter, the Elysian. She writes glorious, long-form content about capitalism, future utopias, and so much more. I can’t recommend it enough.
📖Psalms for the Wild-Built (←Affiliate link for Bookshop.com. Thanks in advance!) - Following the theme of future utopias, let’s talk about the best book I’ve read in the last week called Psalms for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers.
Becky Chambers is one of my favorite writers. She builds these wonderful pictures of the future while giving complex characters that you want to see win at everything.
This is the first book in a set of two. Highly recommend.
Until next time, friends,
B.A. Burgess
