Stark is a human that survived eleven years in hell as one of Lucifer’s general’s Connor McGregor.
While he was gone, someone killed his girl.
He takes over a video store upon his return to earth.
In book one, we meet Stark. He’s Sandman Slim by the by. He’s back from hell and on a mission to get revenge on the ones who sent him.
In book two, Kill the Dead, we’re with Stark again and a few familiar faces from book one as they take on zombies, but it isn’t a rerun of anything you’ve read before.
🤷How I Discovered This Book
My partner has read all of these books twice. When I finished the last book in the Charlotte Holmes series by Sherry Thomas, I was looking for something to read, and thought, “Why not read this entire catalog of books that are conveniently located in Audible?”
I’m so glad I started this series. I’m in the middle of book three right now. I took a break to write this, because I love you.
🧠General Thoughts
This series isn’t for everyone.
Anyone who knows a little might be surprised that I like this dirty, grimey, 90s punk, cigarette, and Jack-laced text. But, I love it.
🔖Who should read it
If you like the Lucifer or Hellblazer comics, Nine Inch Nails, and Blockbusters, then hold on to your butts, friends. You’ll love this.
