Hello, friends. Welcome. I’m Barbara, but I sign most of my work as B.A. Burgess.

I’m the author of the children’s picture book series Fernando Learns* and creator of the *How to Write a Children’s Book in 7 Days* course. As a writer and writing facilitator, I’ve not only covered writing for children. I also dabble in short stories, essays, and fiction. My favorite genre is narrative non-fiction, which I am currently not very good at, but I’m working on it.

HELLOTHISISBARBARA is a personal log where I write about everything. It’s a place to hone my personal essay writing and share my work and experiences with you all.
